We had an incredible time in Uganda. The people we met were truly amazing. It's no surprise that life in Africa can be extremely hard. But I found the visit to be especially inspiring. People were so open and welcoming. A lot of them have overcome their own hardships, especially those from northern Uganda where there has been a civil war for the past two decades. Fortunately, a makeshift peace has been in effect for the past year. The future, I hope, will be brighter. It definitely helps put things in perspective.
