We went to the first full team spring training practice in Ft. Myers Beach and the Red Sox fans showed up in droves. Apparently, they filled the motels in the area too. There must have been close to a 1,000 fans clamoring to get a glimpse of their favorites and get autographs. We saw Ortiz, Manny, Lugo, Dice K, Pedroia and Youkilis. No autographs, but Phil did wear his new Sox T-shirt from his mom that reads "Champions" in Gaelic.
