Eat Now, Eat Often

Much of life for Thais revolves around food which means that I'm in good company. We're staying at the Nai Lert Hotel (in the center of the action), which has the most amazing breakfast buffet. I had five helpings today. There are Asian-style dumplings, noodles, fried rice and miso soup. Add pastries, omelettes, pancakes and potatoes. But the real winner is the fruit bar with mangosteens, dragonfruit and durian. The view looks out onto a tranquil courtyard, an urban oasis with a pool surrounded by palm trees.
