It's rare that we get a snow day in Atlanta. But today we woke up and it was snowy and quiet outside. We got about 4.5 inches. And it was that crunchy packed snow that looks really pretty and great for sledding.
So we took Owen over to the park down the street with a makeshift sled, aka the lid to our garbage can, which worked surprisingly well. (You just have to line up the ridges with the track.) As it turns out, Owen is a champion sledder - he outdistanced some of the older kids. You can see that he also looks like the part of a Winter Olympian. And he didn't want to leave the slope.
